I took this photo this summer. This bird hung out outside my window all the time. It lived in a hole in my neighbor's house. I wonder if it is that bird's poop on the dish and that's why he/she is staring at it.
Last semester I took a floral design class and every week I came home with loads of awesome arrangements. Because flowers eventually die, I began preserving my works of art by photographing them. Then I started experimenting with lighting and well, I became obsessed with the potential that photography offers. Needless to say...I have tons of pictures of flowers.
I suppose, technically, I am a Nursing Major--with only three classes left to graduate with my BSN. Through a series of unfortunate events, I decided to/was forced to take a break from the world of nursing. During this hiatus, I have rediscovered my creative abilities. I haven't felt this passionate about anything in a very long time.
And I am usually late for class. And this class starts in 12 minutes. Dang it.

Kim, I'm glad that you have begun to rediscover your creative abilities and really look forward to seeing the projects that you come up with in class. I enjoy your sense of humor and this is a really quirky image that you've chosen to share with us. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThanks Robin! I enjoy quirky images -- especially this one because I had just gotten my Canon AE Program and this picture was one of the few that actually turned out on the roll.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see some of your photographic preservation work for your flower arrangements and where that might take you with image work this semester!
